Love of The Father
GOD KNOWS US
“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight:
but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him
with whom we have to do.”
(Hebrews 4:13)
Some consider it a blessing, some perhaps a curse. But God, the God of Heaven and Earth, knows all about you. He knows the deepest intentions of your heart. “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts” (1st Chronicles 28:9). He knows our every thought and our every desire. He searches our hearts, weighing our motives and attitudes. He softens our hearts and He changes our hearts.
God sees how you feel when you see others suffering and your desire to help. He notes your patience, forbearance, and your concern for your brothers and sisters-in-Christ. He also knows the deep love you have for your family. He sees you pray for those who are sick, the lost, the persecuted, and for our nation.
He also sees us when we run full steam ahead to fulfill our own desires. God sees us justify ‘our’ wants as opposed to what is ‘right and good’ in His eyes. He sees us when we ignore the needs of others; and sadly, when we excuse ourselves for not doing what we know to be righteous.
He weighs our heart when we come before His Throne in prayer. Are we harboring grudges, doubts, malice, impatience, lust, covetousness, or unforgiveness. God knows if you are distracted or uninterested when you pray. He knows and responds accordingly.
Approaching a Holy God who knows us can surely be a terrifying experience (or it should be). The Lord Jesus Christ knew our shortcomings therefore He provided us with another ‘Comforter.’ The Holy Spirit who resides within every born-again believer. Romans 8:26-27 assures us: “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit … makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is,because He makes intercession for the Saints according to the will of God.”
Yes, God knows you, better than you know yourself. We serve a God who knows we are flesh and prone to sin (sins that we are aware of, and sins that we are not). He knows that we will sometimes ‘fall short’; yet He loves us so much that He helps us to become overcomers.
Because He knows us, He has provided for all our needs,“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19), including His grace (unmerited favor). He has given us a High Priest, Yeshua, as our Advocate and a Spiritual Helper/Counselor, the Holy Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh, who abides within us. “And I will pray to the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of Truth … I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you” (John 14:16,17,18).
God knows us and He loves us — very much! All Glory and Praise to Him who sits on the Throne of Heaven!
